Defend South Texas Economic Opportunity

Out-of-state activists are trying to shut down natural gas development in Texas. San Francisco environmentalists recently protested a bank for financing the proposed Texas LNG export facility in Brownsville, Texas. Now the activists are bringing their misinformation campaign to Texas to try to block the facility.

I'm signing this petition because I support liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports in Texas, and I believe activists from California should not speak for Texans.

The Texas LNG project at the Port of Brownsville represents hundreds of local jobs and roughly $1.3 billion in direct investment in South Texas. The facility is also expected to contribute billions of dollars in local, state and federal revenue.

Natural gas development creates jobs, tax revenue, and economic opportunities for people all across the Lone Star State. San Francisco activists and other professional protesters need to know: in Texas, we support energy.
