On behalf of the nearly 800 members of Texans for Natural Gas who live and work in Dallas, we are writing to express our concern about the City of Dallas’ Comprehensive Environmental and Climate Action Plan (CECAP), on which the Committee held a meeting today.
Although oil and gas production across Texas has suffered a significant slowdown, essential infrastructure projects – especially pipelines – are still moving ahead, which will ultimately help to decrease methane emissions and reduce flaring activity.
The critical role that natural gas plays not only in our everyday lives but in addressing climate change domestically and across the world simply cannot be overlooked — and Texas is playing a central role.
