Oil and gas companies that participated in the Environmental Partnership’s Leak Detection & Repair Program had a methane leak occurrence rate of less than 0.1%, ten times lower than U.S. EPA estimates, according to the third annual progress report released this week by the American Petroleum Institute’s Environmental Partnership.
Natural gas utilities invested $1.47 billion — or $3.8 million per day — in energy efficiency programs in 2018, according to a new report by the American Gas Association (AGA).
